Simon is a seasoned Director of Photography (DOP) and Cinematographer with over 10 years of experience in the film industry. His diverse portfolio includes feature films, short films, branded content, music videos, corporate videos, and documentaries, making him a well-rounded professional in all aspects of visual storytelling.
A quick thinker and natural problem solver, Simon excels at creating the perfect lighting to set the mood for every scene, no matter the project. While his focus is as a DOP, Simon has a true passion for lighting, having worked as a spark and gaffer on various lower-budget productions. His hands-on experience allows him to maximize every dollar on set without compromising on quality.
Simon’s work has garnered recognition, with award-winning shorts and films screened at prestigious events like the Edinburgh International Film Festival and Leeds International Film Festival. He honed his craft at the National Film and Television School (NFTS) as part of the Sean Connery Talent Lab, specializing as a Cinematographer.
Based in Scotland, working across Edinburgh, Glasgow and the highlands, Simon can also be found working across the UK, and overseas if that's where the work is.
